Hi everyone!!!!! Soooo sorry I haven't been here for a few weeks. Unfortunately I got a little sick. But, I wanted you all to know that I am doing well. My 30 day average is 109!!!!!!!!!!
Unheard of in the past.
I am NOT recommending this for everyone or anyone. It is a VERY personal choice. I was simply dying, and had no choice.
Now I have a new lease on life and am VERY happy about it.
Dr. Sutherland told my partner and myself that if this fails for any reason.....he would get me into an expermental program...there are three that show promise. One is the mice that Sticky wrote about. The Spring Point Project is another. And, Dr. Denise Fousman (spelling???) at Harvard is working on adult stem cells and having some success.
Hopefully, this pancreas will last untill there is a cure........and there WILL BE!!!!
Hang in there everyone!!!!!

I, too, hope your transplant continues to be a success. I've read a lot on Dr. Faustman. Her work sounds really promising. Hang in there and remember that we all love you !!!!!!
