I have finally decided what new pump I want. I am going with the Animas !R-1200, silver colored.

I liked the fact that alot of the people who help set you up with the pump or answer questions are pump wearers. It was also nice to do business with a company in my home state.

Now all I need to do is get my paperwork faxed in and what to hear. From what the rep said, my insurance should not be a problem (actually she said my plan is one of the best, which I was glad to hear), and get it order. I am getting excited now, I am very impatient and want things now.

I have a few more questions for them, but the answers won't deter me from going with the Animas.

Thanks for listening,

Kim:thumbsup:

Wow Kim that's fantastic  From what I've heard the IR1200 is a good little pump; I wish you the best of luck with it. You'll have to give us the insider's scoop and let us know all about the bell's and whistle's.

Congrats! Keep us posted :)

Congrats Kim,

My Jack has the IR 1200, too, and loves it. Please don't hesitate if you have questions we might help with. It was 9 days from the day I faxed Animas to the day the pump arrived. You went with an excellent company!.

Thanks for letting me know how long it took Deager. I didn't get the papers faxed today, but will tomorrow morning. Now that I have decided I am excited to get it. Things have definitely changed since I got my mm508.

I will keep you posted and let you know how I like it Shy.

Now that I have finally decided, got all paper work done, got drs prescription and approval from the insurance company, I have to wait till the beginning of August to get my new pump.

I am, to say the least, bummed out. Once I decide what I want, I want it now. No patience whats so ever.

I understand why I have to wait. The are filling all orders from people who received the IR100 and was promised the update, but I still want mine now. Thought it would be great to keep in on to go swimming, since my toddler hates to get out.

I guess I will be patient, it's not like I don't have a pump now. I also found out between my insurance and trading in my old pump I will have to pay no out of pocket expenses. Hearing that made the wait a little better.

Will let you know how I like the new one once I get it. They said it could be sooner, and from different sites, I've seen were people waiting for upgrades actually got them alot sooner than they were expecting. I can hope.

hmmm something to think about since I am going to be getting a new pump soon...."medically necessary" is the reason. My pump is 5 years old and the buttons are getting sensitive!!!!

Belinda, they did tell me the the wait was only to catch the people up on the upgrad, after they do that there shouldn't be this long of a wait. The paper work and such would be the longest wait. I hope this doesn't discourage you from trying them. Even though I don't have the pump yet I am very impressed with the company. Everyone has been wonderful and very informative. So far so good.

I am in the same boat with my current pump. My warranty is expired so I do want my new one now. Waiting for something bad to happen. But I am waiting willing.

Let me know which one you decide on.

Finally, after being patient for about a month, I will have my new pump on Monday. Can't wait to get it and play with it. They said I shouldn't hook up until I met with the trainer, we will have to wait and see about that.

Let you know how I like it.

I am hooked up to my new pump. Just after watching the DVD and playing with it a little, I love it already. Will have to wait for the long term though, I am sure I will still love it.
