I thought it was interesting.
As I read it, it said that the minorities and poorest were harder hit with it, they also state that these same people were more obese and were less active.

That is interesting. But once again, it does little to separate the "study" between Type I & Type II. I will give it a closer read when I get a chance. I saw one brief mention of Type I in relation to the fact it "peaks in adolescence"...

So I ask, is this really a study of Type II's? I wish the two would be identified separately in these type of "lifestyle" studies. Since one is autoimmune related and the other is metabolic.

If you read the government report. You see who it is intended for. It is for the government. Diabetics, irregardless of type, are posing a problem. They are using resources. And the poor are leaning on government more than the wealthy. So this is a concern to government. Someone has to figure out what to do to minimize liability of the government.
But along the way, you do see how different "groups" are handling the situation.
