I was hoping to return to work next week. Been to see my GP this morning and was signed off for another month. urrrrgh.
Looks like when I do return to work it will only be on a part time basis. Luckerly I wont really lose any money from reducing my hours as the government provides quite well for us here in the UK.
I am just worried about what the company I work for will say about reducing my hours. I hope with the letter from my doc they will have to comply.
Anyone been in a simular situation regarding work and working hours?

No, not hours, but I do often refuse travel. Last month they wanted me to take a six month assignment where I'd have to travel an hour and a half each way. Some of you may do that anyway, but I don't, especially not in our winters along a moose highway. I can test easy enough. Going hypo doesn't concern me too much. It's my eyes that I'm afraid of. The vision isn't perfect, and they get tired real easily now, especially after a long day.

I just told them it wasn't an option. Find me something else. Fortunately it's a lrage company and they can find other resources. Mind you my current assignment is not the best, but c'est la vie :(

Holy Carp...another month? Poor you(depending
how you look at it ;) ). Well, at least you don't
lose any pay...that's a plus.

Nope, the only time I took time off work for health
reasons was the time I was in a Coma. Of course,
most of that occurred on the week-end.
I didn't have a Drs. note. What were they going
to do? They knew me, they knew I had Diabetes
and they needed me. That was a long time ago.

OOPPS, I just remembered the 2 times I did miss
2 days for lows when I worked for the Gov. but
that was only 2 separate days. From what I've
seen, they are pretty lenient as far as taking off
for illness and Family problems. I can only presume
it is the same in all Depts. I'm sure they will accept
your Drs. note as long as it doesn't happen too often.
They don't have a choice. I know over here they don't.

Sorry, I'm not sure about the hours either. When you
have a Good reason it should happen. They sometimes
take on contract workers for shorter hours. Just relax
and enjoy the rest of your time off. Good Luck! :)

Just not sure whats gonna happen. Had another week where I have barely eaten a thing and only sleeping 2 hours a day. The constant nausea is truly starting to get me down. Looks like I'm gonna be stuck with this til the end of my days. I really don't think I can cope with this anymore.

Maybe I missed something here but what's wrong with your health? I'm also sorry to hear your not feeling well.

I have been nauseuos, sick and generally unwell for the last six months or so. Completely lost my appitite which is causing a few probs with the diabetes. that I can handle its the constant sick feeling and stomach pains and weird sweating which is the main problem for. I am very weak and a bit annoyed with the whole situation. Been tested for various different conditions and complication. Had about 12 hospital appointments in the last few weeks. All started about six months ago, when after feeling really unwell I visited my doc and was rushed into hospital with strange blood results and lack of oxygen in my blood and also too many red blood cells.

I've proberbly missed some symtoms off here its difficult to keep track of it all.

Oh Geeze, Jedisurfer.......I hope your doctor can figure out why you've been so sick and I hope your employer doesn't give you a hard time about cutting back on your hours.
