Hello. My name is Henry, and I recently got diagnosed as supposedly Type 2 diabetic, since I am overweight. However, when they ran a C Peptide test, it came in low normal (1.0) with a high Fasting Blood Sugar (180). My doctor is a general doctor and could not tell whether I have Type 1, 2 or 1.5. I am 40 years old. He put me on Lantus and Humalog. Could someone shed some light on what type of diabetes I have?

I'm inclined to think that you're a type 1.5 or known as a LADA Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults. It's a auto immune disease where you immune system attacks the islet cells that produce insulin.

Ask him to do a GAD Antibody on you. The GAD will help to determine if you have the immune system attacking the insulin producing islet cells.

You may also want to ask for a referral to an Endocrinologist. GP's are great, but they are mostly Ear, Nose and Throat docs.(ENT) An endocrinologist is more specialized for the system that governs the pancreas.
Are you monitoring your glucose at home? You may want to pick up a meter at your local pharmacy. Unless the Endo you get just hands you one. (Most do)
This is a good place here with lots of info. I have learned alot from these good people.
