I know I have heard mention of this before, but my search did not turn it up. Walmart has a long list of discounted drugs online(Walmart.com...click on pharmacy, then $4 prescriptions). Today, we had to get a new prescription for Hubby. Normally, we get a 3 month supply from medco for either $14 or $22, but this might be just for a month, so we went to Walgreen's....they wanted $28.95 for 30 tablets. A man there said go to Walmart, you can get them for $4, he was right. It can possibly save us around $30 for 3 months on several of our medicines, but some of them we take 2 or 3 a day, so it is cheaper through Medco. Our Meijer store gives free antibiotics, so that is good to know. Just thought some of you, especially those on fixed incomes, could use the savings.

Less than a month ago, I saw a sign on the counter in TARGET's pharmacy saying they they had a large number of common drugs available for $4. I imagine their $4 list is similar to that of Walmart. I did not ask for a list, but I imagine it is available online. I would think some diabetes drugs would be on it. Probably a lot of anti-hypertensives, too....Just thought you might like to know of an alternative to Walmart.

Here are the lists for each of the stores that I know offer discount drugs....

Walmart: http://i.walmart.com/i/if/hmp/fusion/genericdruglist.pdf

Meijer: http://www.meijer.com/content/content_leftnav_manual.jsp?pageName=free_antibioti cs (it's really just a handfull of free antibiotics, still...it's FREE)

If anyone knows any other stores it would be nice to add them to this thread.
