I got the Minimed 23" 6mm infusion sets and seems much easier than what I had before. Thanks for the info in my prior post.

My question is in regards to tucking in a shirt!! (seems pretty simple). I think I would like the pump on the outside of what I am wearing in order to administer a bolus when needed, however, if I am at work, I usually tuck in my golf shirt.

Any suggestions on how to handle this? Or do most just untuck the side where the pump is hanging.

Thanks everyone!!!!

Umm, where do you wear your pump?
I would suggest if you tuck in your shirt, you just clip your pump on the belt and tuck the tubing in your pants together with your shirt :p how does that sound?

I clip it to my belt or pocket.

Seems the tube isn't long enough to be tucked in with my shirt (maybe my shirt is too long?)

xon, I have run into this problem also. If you tuck the tubing in, it hangs funny because of the pump on the outside and the tubing holding the shirt up. I would suggest cutting a small button hole in your shirts. If you take them to a seamstress she can cut a button hole for you that will not fray. Just show her where to put it. Then you can push the quickset through the button hole and and the attach it to your site. Be careful when lowering the drawers! I also use the quickset 6mm with 23 " tubing.

Hello
This is a reason I have stayed with the 43 inch devices. I can place the pump on my right side or left, and tuck in the shirt as well. When I wear a suite I just tuck in my dress shirt and still have length enough to place the pump on my belt.
When I wear the pump with the need to know what is going on with it and I wear a Golf type shirt with a pocket. I pull the pump up from underneath the shirt and have the tubing come out the button hole and put my pump in the pocket.
Sometimes it may seem to be too much tubing but I can wear my pump most any place I choose with this length.

I cut a small hole in my pocket and no one knows i have a pump and its comfortable as well. Make sure you cut the hole at the top of the pocket.

I don't have a problem tucking in my shirt with the tubing (23") my shirts aren't that long though. Is your site on your abdomen? I have the sihlouette and I make sure when inserting to have it so the tubing is pointing the way of where I wear my pump so that it doesn't have to loop back around the site (if this makes sense) Say you wear your pump on your belt on your left side, when inserting, make sure you point the needle at your right side so that the tubing will be going towards the left.

Hope this helps.

I just tuck in the tubing and use the clip on the pump and attach to my levi's. Most people think it's a pager

button holes are good but if needed I sometimes thread the pump through two of the buttons (in the opening between the buttons once they are buttoned) that way my blouse is still buttoned and it doesn't tug.

Jack does the same as pepsilvr. He also uses the 23" tubing and wears mostly t-shirts tucked in (ahhh Florida!).
