For the last few days my BG has been getting lower and lower for the same amount of physical activity. My food Intake is the same as always, if not higher. I have started to lower my basal since I keep testing in the 70's.
Im half tempted to think that my pancreas is trying to over compensate, or I might start deluding myself into believing that I'm cured.(wouldn't that be nice.)
Anyone out there been through anything like this personally???

Yes Mort, more than once. I have had low blood sugar for several days. I have said those exact words. "Maybe I am cured" or "maybe my pancreas is working again". I have had my balloon shot down every time.
I think there can be several reasons for the lows. If the temp is getting cold where you live, your body works harder to keep you warm. I have to make basal changes in the winter. Hormones have run most of my adult life and I will have to make changes when the hormones run high. Stress, illness and many other things can have an effect on your blood sugar.
I am hoping your cured. Don't bet on it though. ;)

I agree with the weather statement. Since I live only a couple miles from you and I'm freezing my feet off right now, I know that it's gotten colder the last couple of days. :)
Could it also be that you're eating more so your metabolism has kicked up a notch to compensate?
I don't know, but those are my guesses. :D

I've recently chopped 4 units off my basal in the last week, and still may need more, but that's more likely due to a change of sports from baseball to hockey... (more aerobic I guess?)
Check your weight.... I find if I'm more active (and thus seem to be keeping off a few extra pounds) that affects me as well.

Thanks for the reality check folks. my weight is slowly creeping up to my pre-diagnosis area(note to self, move your butt to the gym once in a while).
I think it may be due to the weather changes. Sounds reasonable enough.
