Oh, my right eye is twitching, I can feel the nerve move, and when I look in the mirror, I can see it move! It’s like that for the past two days. Will it go away the same way it happened – unexpectedly?
Oh, I feel like Nicolas Cage in the Matchstick Man movie!

Same thing happend to me when a horse kicked me in the head. I'm happy to say it stopped when a tree fell on me.

In reality, I've had problems with constant twitches for as long as I can remember, although generally not in the eyes. I'm sure it is just a temporary thing.

I've had twitching in my eye as well, it's usually when I'm tired. It always goes away.....it's annoying more than anything.

I hope yours clears up soon.

I've experienced this problem too, and though I was the only one! Thank you sooo much for posting this!!!!! In my case it comes and goes and has been doing so throughout the last 2 annual eye checks. Hope you improve soon.

Katjic,

I've had the same problem with the twich. It's more annoying than anything. My last one took 4 days to fully go away. Sometimes if you massage the side of your head near your eye it will help stop it for a while.

Good luck, I hope it goes away soon.

Thanks guys,

I think it's going away! I didn't feel it move since I woke up at 4 this morning (it's 6:30 now).
I guess my eyes were just tired, since they never get to be closed for long :p, and I'm staring at this computer screen all day long, either at work or at home...
I hope it doesn't come back !

that's great Kat - it probably will return though, after you've spent too long on the computer again, or not got enough beauty sleep!!!

Just take care of yourself, and when/if it does return - only look at the guys!!!

Yup, me too.

It is, in fact, generally when I'm tired and have spent much time doing something than requires much use of muscles to focus on a specific thing without breaks.

Yea come to think of it mine tends to be related to stress.

I was really terrified at first, cos I though it was blood vessels in my eyes bursting! Do you think this is specific to diabetics?

Lorna, I don't think it's related to diabetes...Well, I didn't find anything to substantiate that. I did find this though :

"This is an innocent problem that affects most people at some time in their lives. If someone becomes aware of a twitching below the eye it's usually when they are worried about something or have something on their mind. It's extremely common when someone is under pressure or being stressed by something, by his or her work for example."

I just recently went through the same thing, Kat... same eye, too. It took 2 days to go away. I came to the conclusion it was caused by being stuck in a hotel room with my boyfriend's abnormally hyperactive 7 year old for 2 solid days. My boyfriend had an out of town meeting, and took the vehicle. We also couldn't leave the room because my dog is neurotic and wouldn't stop barking when we did.

Or maybe it was caused by 48 hours of watching the Cartoon Network?
