Here's an article that was published in a local Natural Food store. I found it interesting...

Every food that is digested is eventually broken down into sugar (glucose) that the body uses for energy. Blood sugar levels must be maintained in a very narrow range for good health. Hyperglycemia - blood sugar that is too high - increases risk for diabetes, heart attack, stroke and more. Hypoglycemia - blood sugar that is too low - can cause disorientation or loss of consciousness. Research has shown that healthy lifestyle choices can help regulate blood sugar, including maintaining a healthy weight, eating nutritious meals, exercising and using supplements known to aid in blood sugar regulation.
Fenugreek slows the absorption of glucose into the blood stream and can help reduce blood sugar levels. The typical dosage of fenugreek is 5 to 30 grams, three times per day with meals.
The herb Gymnema sylvestre - whose Hindi name means "sugar destroyer" - subdues the taste of sugar, and may help regulate blood sugar levels. A typical dosage is 400 mg to 600 mg per day of extract standardized to 24% gymnemic acid.
American Ginseng (Panaz quinquefolius) significantly reduced blood sugar when taken 40 minutes before eating in this study. Doses between one and three grams of ginseng were eqyally effective, so long as they were taken 40 minutes before a meal.
Aloe Vera juice significantly improved the blood sugar levels of type 2 diabetics who took aloe vera juice for two weeks in a placebo-controlled study. The recommended dosage of aloe vera juice is one tablespoon twice per day.

This was originally from a publication of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
has anyone tried any of these, or heard about them??
