Sweet mini-meet 2008 Vegas Style

A few of us from last year will be in Vegas again at the same bat time, same bat place. Which will be June 22 (Sunday! :) to June 28). I have a SWEET hookup or suites there at unbelievable rates cause they know what we are doing with the suite. I can fit 2-3 three others in my suite (HQ's) and welcome you to stay with me.

I effin love the shot glass :D . I have never been a drinker but a friend tunred me on to johnny walker black label and a shot a day(usually less) works just about great and love the taking it with the vegas glass.

Right on guys and gals :) Hopefully Jen will come again as well and we see her. Wish Kevin could be there as I actually would play golf next time lol, but he has the big greet to run. Maybe we can connect video between the mini greet in which people can't make it back east to the big one.

So glad we get to party again! wooot!

I'll be working at a camp during the summer and this is my vacation from it! If anyone wants me to bring a doctor to it, a nurse, or a dietician let me know. Right at this time is when most want a week or two break from being up in the woods and I am sure would love to give us a casual education lesson. Plus they are really cool. I'll try to get the DYF to donate some supplies for us as well as vendors stock the camp up beyond what is needed; from sets, strips, needles, meters, insulins, you name it.

If anyone wants to stay in HQ let me know. I still have 2 contacts at harrah's that were very interested in helping us out when the ambassador called me down to meet with her about rates. She hooked me up last time I went solo too :) .

I enjoy staying with people more then rooming bymyself. So PLEASE stay with me if you can!!! If everyone puts in what they would for a regular hotel there I am very confident we can get a couple bedroom suite (ill sleep on a cot if I must) with a few bathrooms. If you can't afford it i'll find a way for you to stay free with me.

Car, Dew, Rikki(maybe hubby can come next time?), it was such a pleasure to meet you. It felt like we knew each other for years. Kev, you will be missed and felt the same way, but hope we can set up a video feed if possible!!

Bri, if hubby and kids don't make it this time, I'll room with you. I will do anything to save money, that's why I stayed at Circus Circus last time...it's cheap. :)

Actually, due to some "fancy-footwork" by Kevin, the 2008 Meet & Greet at Myrtle Beach has been moved to a different week so as not to be at the same time as the Vegas meet. This way if anyone wants to do both events, it can be done.

I looked forward to this event all last year and am thinking about getting my tickets now!! lol. I got a 1000$ giftcard from paris cause when we ordered the party platters and drinks it entered us into a business drawing and we won a 1000$ giftcard there! :D This will be put towards HQ and hopefully where everyone stays!!!

I'll be asking Dew and Car to help me with a schedule so we have activities on a daily basis. I >promise< to only miss one event if I hook up with a chick this time!!

I won't be able to for a few reasons....

1) I only get 12 days of vacation a year and only take 10 (I have to take 10 a year at my job and carry over the rest so down the road when I have a family I'll have lots of time saved up.) And taking 2 weeks off of work would eat through most of my time then making me unable to go on the Mission trip with my church next year to Peru.

2) Taking 2 vacations in a month, heck, in 6 months, would really push my budget. That would cost me almost $2000 in one month, which in my opinion is outrageous to spend on a vacation.

3) While Vegas is fun, there's not enough to do there besides gambling or seeing shows to be worth going back 2 years in a row. And I'm not a huge gambler and won't pay money to see shows out there since I believe they are too outrageous.

So I'll be unable to make Vegas although I hope it's fun.

Hey what happened to Peuro Rico? :DNever happened. One day I will get there. Taiwan will be my Puerto Rico replacement, of sorts - I have a friend there to visit. I wish I could do more than one big vacation more than once every 1-2 years so I could hit Vegas too! We need to be more like Europe.

Wow. It's getting close Rikki!! My how time just flies. Like most of America right now, times are tight. 4$ a gallon for gas here right now!!! FOUR FRIGGEN DOLLARS A GALLON!!! ok don't get me started. Especially for me going to school last semester to raise my GPA and studying for the MCAT reallllly set me back. I just got a job about 2 months ago as a software architect for a medical company so I am basically getting back on my feet again.

That being said how about we change the dates a little to during the week so prices will be better? Say June 23 (Monday) - June 26 (Wednesday)? If it's to hard I will make the original dates work for myself and the group.

It's up to you guys and gals but I am thinking about getting a room similar to last year and would love it if we all just crashed in the same room. I don't mind sleeping on the floor, a couch or a cot.

So I guess my questions are, whose still in, and who wants to bunk up in a sick suite so we can spend the whole time hanging out together? I still stay in touch with the girl I met out there last time so if we aren't going to do a group room (for a group room we could do 4 people very comfortably, but heck I don't care if we do 9. As long as I have a place to crash I am happy) I may crash with her since she is by the strip and it wont cost me anything, other then I would have to spend some time with her, but I can see her anytime and want to spend all my time with the group. We dont always have to be in the room obviously I just think it's a good idea so we stay centralized and I don't get sucked in by the other guilty sins vegas has to offer lol.

I am sure I can get my contact at Paris to throw in some show tickets for us. I told her what we were doing there and somehow ended up with a visa giftcard for 500$ that can only be spent at a Paris/Harrah's hotel and am happy to put that towards some meals for us there, or just put it towards the room, etc.. The contact there was really really cool with adjusting prices and accommodating what we were doing there.

Kev I know you have myrtle beach too, but man it would be great if you could hang with us again. I feel really bad about flaking on golf with you too. Somehow I think you understand though having met Katie ;). I am merely a man. It wouldn't be the same without you.

Looks like I'm going on my own. It also looks like I'm going to drive there. :) Taking my new convertible on a road trip, woohoo! :D

My plan is to arrive there on Sunday and stay until Thursday or Friday. I can stay with you, Brian, for whatever days you are there and can find my own room for any extra days that I'm there. I don't need to stay on the strip when the rest of you might not be there. I have points saved up with the Choice Hotels, so I can stay off-strip at the Comfort Inn for a couple of the days. But, I would definitely like to stay more cheaply there if at all possible, so sharing a room would be good for me.

I'm so ready for this vacation! :D

My family can't go, I still can. Is anyone else planning to go, or should I go and do something else that week?
