Hi: I've discovered some candies that are low in sugar they are from a company called Werther's as follows: Chewy Carmel's 2g of sugar per caramel 5g carb's overall,Werther's Chocolates 2g Carb's total per candy and 2g of sugar per candy.Hope this is useful and helpful for those who need a fix:D from time to time

those are really good and they dont effect my blood sugar! I usually keep a bag in my back pack
Werthers make probably the best sugar-free hard candy in my opinion

I enjoyed Werther's before diabetes and after...their s/f candies are quite good! Wish they had the chewy ones s/f.

Be very careful with them. Even though they are delicious, they will give you...... well, you will need immodium if you eat to many. ;)

My sweet fix is a little higher in carbs. I usually eat when I need a boost, but not a full-blown snack or meal:
Snack-size 3 Musketeers (about 10-11 carbs)
or a York Peppermint Pattie (small size) about 11 carbs.
But, I take insulin...so I have my low moments which a Type II may not have...

I give in to the York Peppermint Pattie urge every now and then myself....my personal fave sweet snack consists of 2-3 Dove Dark Chocolate pieces...I keep them in the freezer, and they melt so slowly....nothing like cold, dark chocolate.
