A thread to congratualate yourself on a job well done

This morning I weighed myself and and found that I now weigh 14st 3lb (199lb, 90.4Kg).

This means I have lost exactly 1st (14lb, 6kg) since I was officially told on May 24th that I was fat by my consultant and started my get fit program.

Well done me!

Well, I GAINED 10-15 lbs but that is good for me. I am still a little underweight by about 10-15 lbs but I like where I am now.

My offer to give you about 3stone still stands Pepsilver- or anyone else. This reminds me I need to weigh myself, as I have been dieting for about 3 weeks now. Well done fishy!!! rzrbks- I'll bet you're quite tall?

Nope, short fella, actually. 5' 10 3/4"--180.34 centimeter-------Bone structure is the factor that people don't take into account, particularly if you're using the Body Mass Index.

BMI works just fine is you're regular/middle bone structure.

Best way to check is to use the grip around your wrist test.

If your thumb and 2nd finger meet as you grip around your wrist then BMI is ok: if your thumb and 2nd finger overlap then you need to use the lower end of the BMI, if, as with me, your thmb and 2nd finger don't come close to touching then you need to use the higher end of BMI.

Even though my Index is 28.7, my Dr. and CDE believe that I am normal-----according to the "Regular" reading of the BMI, however, I am in the "overweight" catagory-----
