I have a One Touch Ultra mini that I've been using for a couple of months now.

The pharmacist showed me how to use it including checking the calibration to the strips.

The strips I'm using say that I should get a reading of 100-133 when using the calibrating liquid that came with the meter. However, during the last four calibrations the meter is consistently reading 146. I'm not sure what's causing this. I usually put a drop on my finger and let the strip soak it up.

Anybody got any ideas? The next bottle of strips I have (100-133) are reading the same 146.

Kindest regards.

I alway went straight from the bottle to the strips. Could be your bottle has expired or your meter is way off. Easy enough to test with another calibration bottle.

Don't put it on your finger.

Make sure you have the right code in the meter.

Do not put it on your finger, and do not touch the tip of the bottle to anything, including the strip. the bottle is probably contaminated at this point. Use a fresh bottle, and follow the instructions carefully! Also, roll the bottle for at least 10 seconds to ensure that the liquid is mixed properly (this instruction is direct from J&J supoort)
