How long does it take you for the red spot from the cannula to go away after you remove an infusion set? I change my set every 3 days or so, and I currently have 8 visible spots on my abdoment.....that's approx 24 days worth (not including my current site that I'll be changing today or tomorrow). Four of them are pretty light by now (can barely see them), but the other four are darker. None of them look irritated or inflamed or anything - just a small red dot.
I'm wondering if using the Silhouettes that go in at an angle make for a bigger mark......

I have only used the quicksets. My spot is usually gone with in 24 hours of a set change. I have had one that took another day or so , but no problems.

I only use quicksets too and my spots always disappear pretty quickly. I'm not sure how long exactly because I've never paid close attention - the spots don't last long enough to bug me. In the Summer though, I do try to use really low spots on the abdomen, so if I'm in a two piece, the spots won't show.

I have used quicksets and sils. The quickset "spots" for me go away within about two weeks. I sometimes get a small lump that takes a bit longer (up to a month), but if I use a small dot of IV3000 where the canula goes in, they go away in about two weeks. The sils left quite an ugly scar on my skin for about two months. I knew if I switched to them, I would not do well. Everyones skin is different, so who knows. They may work better for you. Call and ask for a sample.

About a week or so with the Quick-sets. Months when I used sils.
Try just a dab of Neosporin on them after you take it out. That seems to help.

Using sils - 12 dots - which is about 36 days. The oldest 8 are quite faint.

Using Quick-Sets and the "spot" is usually gone within a day or two.

I only use my thighs for canulas, the main reason is so people don't see the spots and the canula.
I use sils and it takes a while for the dots to go away. My thighs look like they have acne at the moment :P

I lose the spots anywhere from 1 day to 2 weeks, and I can't figure out what makes the difference.
The only really long lasting ones are in my thighs...they take about 2 months or longer, no joking, which really bother's me because my thighs are my fav spot, with the most reliable absorption and control....
