Today wasn't a bad day at all.

Had an appointment with my doctor and trainer to finally start using my CGMS rig. I must say that this thing is pretty cool.
I can see my self going through a lot of pump batteries for a while, as I constanly play with it.

Today after looking at the charts of a few hundred blood sugars that I've done over the couple of weeks, I've managed to get my average blood sugar down from 233 to a whopping 115!
The best part is that my doctor and trainer think that with a little care in my carb counting and tweaking of my pump I should be able to get my A1c down to the mid fives.

All I can say is WOO HOO!

I've never been a good diabetic by any stretch. So news like this makes me feel pretty freakin' good.

Congratulations! It is possible...

I've been pumping since Valentines Day, 2006. My a1c has gone down to 5.4. I go for my next endo appt. in 2 weeks. I'm pushing hard for a 5.2!

Good luck :top:

In the beginning of my recent turnaround I was really having a tough time doing it.
But now that things my diabetes is getting better, it also seems to be getting easier to manage.
Hopefully it will all be second nature in a short time.
But then again, the handmade Japanese chocolates and the Ice Wine is calling my name.........
