Hi everyone,
you are all amazing people...because you write on these boards and help people everyday...without even knowing it...all of you keep up the great job!

My wife(Type 1) and I would like to start trying to have a baby very soon and I would like to order the 7 day DEXCOM so that it will help her keep good numbers throughout her pregnancy.

I get very very paranoid now...(paranoid of hypos)...so you all can imagine how paranoid I would be during pregnancy...when your sugar levels are more "shaky"!

Has anyone been using dexcom during pregnancy? If so,can you please share your stories?

Since the sensor CAN'T go on your belly during pregnancy..is it ok to have it on your thigh?(or anywhere else for that matter).
Please help us, as much as you can!
Thank you very much
David

Well, the only place I feel comfortable wearing sensors is in my thighs. They seem to last longer there too.

I very much dislike Dexcom. I suggest you search for some of my earlier posts about it before you make your final decision...

I had the first generation Dexcom. The device wouldn't let me sleep with all the false alarms. I had really bad customer service that lied about getting a refund. Had to my bank to get my money back.

Hopefully, this newer device will work well for you and you will have a much better experience than myself. Good luck...

I use the mm 722 gcm combo, you can get it standalone too, and its great. Approved for 3 day use by FDA, but you can easily get away with 6-9 days. Not too many problems once I got the routine down, outside of a few bad sensors.....

Don't know enough about the dexcom to comment, but I don't think you can go too wrong with either.
