Well, this is my forth day back exercising after a long break due to nausea. I have been walking three time daily at 1 miles or 1.5 miles on varied routes.
So far it is going well but very hard work. No dramatic lows or highs. And the insulin is working so much more effectively that I have reduced my basal and bolus.
Hoping to be back in better shape by the time I return to work at the beginning of November. Its a 2.7 mile hike to work so I will need to be in good shape to get there and and back. Only return to work initially three night per week, averaging 26 hours or so. All together I should be back to walking 15 miles a week minimum in a couple of weeks.

Feeling a lot better and can't wait to build my fitness back.

Peace

Rich

It can be a really good feeling getting active. I remember when my broken leg was healing at the beginning of the year it was tough, although I began doing upper body stuff to give me some activity. Still when I began taking walks again in March and running in April, it felt incredible.

Exercise can be a really good high.

Another 3 miles today. The old legs are starting to feel a little sore. But I can see my muscle definition returning. The works continues.

Going for a long days hiking on Friday with one of my friends whom I have known for 20 years. After the hypo this morning the hike seems a bit daunting but should be ok by then.
The peak district is fantastic at this time of year. will proberbly do about 10 mile trek or so. And more than likely a couple of pints of beer when we finish.lol

May be a good idea to have one as you start your hike, gives you carbs to burn and incentive to keep on going
