This morning I'm having some dull pain/pressure behind my right eye. It's not continuous - only off-and-on. Does anybody know if this is something to worry about given my recent treatment for retinopathy? It feels mostly like eye strain, but a little more pain/pressure than usual.

Thanks.

With all the stuff going around, I bet it's sinuses.

Retrobulbar pain is common when sinuses are inflammed or infected.

Of course it could be lots of things.

I would call the eye specialist you went to. I had that and I had to get truspot eye drops to helps keep the pressure down . My blood pressure is good but the eye pressure behind the eye needs to be brought down that's why your eye ache.

Does the off and on pain come with any noticable stimuli? As mentioned, sinus stuffage, stress, increased heart rate, certain time of day, BGL's, blood pressure?

On a scale of 1-10 (1=least 10=excruciating) how bad is the pain?

You have had trauma to your retina recently (surgery) so residual, albeit should be very slight pain, will often accompany the healing process.

Sinus is my guess.

I notice this too, MUCH more after the lasers and vitrectomies. It turns out to be sinus issues or a higher bg. (Strange how I can feel them there now). I think after all that was done to my eyes I am just ultra ultra ultra sensitive to it. It probably happened before too, but I was not paying it much attention.

If you're really concerned though you can always see the doc to ease your mind.

I experience similar. I can pretty much rely on my evil eye to tell me when I'm high. It not only blurs but 'tightens' up too.

I've been having something similar off and on since diagnosis; mine doesn't hurt though, it feels kinda like there's an eyelash stuck in the inner corner or something. :/ I really wish I had health insurance NOW, but I think I'm getting closer.
