For the last few months I noticed my vision getting worse. Reading was a bit harder but I kept putting off going in to get a new prescription. I picked up a magazine the other night and my vision got to the point I couldn't read themagazine so I finally went in.
First he did the cover the left eye thing and read this so he did his switch the lense thing and we got me to 20/20. Ok now cover the right eye.....I couldn't see anything, he switched it around.......still nothing. Still nothing after 10 minutes of trying. So he then dialatedmy eyes and lookedin my right eye. He said everything back there looked great and who ever did the lasery surgery did a fantastic job.....now to the left eye....utoh...He saw hemmoraging all around the outer edges of the eye. He said he saw nothing blocking the middle that would blur my vision so bad. He putmy vision in my left eye at 20/150 corrected.......legally blind in my left eye.
I've had NO floaters AT ALL So what the **** is going on?? Anytime I cover my right eyeall my left eye see's is a blur.
So what the **** could possibly be going on?I go in to seemy eye surgeon on the 7th.

Hello Alaska :),I too have the same problem as in my right eye is like a blur as well, Much like looking though a glass onion.
I have had a CT scan in my affected eye and they found a wall building up between the retina and the lends and I have tons of black floaters everywhere. To date I have not herd of anything from my eye surgeon as yet but somehow I will not like what they want to do.
For the past month I can able to see with little resolution like I can see my fingers but cannot see the monitor properly and reading is impossible.

Sounds like the vitreous pulling away from the retina, but you'd think even an opto could see evidence of this. I assume the pressure was ok.

Since you've had laser already, I suspect a vitrectomy is in order. Ask lots of questions.

Have you been getting your regular anual exams?

Going blind from diabetes is my biggest fear (and motivator). Hopefully it's a temporary thing and they can fix you up. Good luck...

Well I have found out something new but something odd. I can see clearly out of the corners of my eye on either side so it seems that the only affected area is the center of the vision.
