So next weekend , Nov 3/4 , the time changes .
So how does that effect the pump and the amount of insulin we are getting.
Time falls back, are we loosing a basal ?
So how does this work?

Time falls back, so you gain an hour, so depending on when you change the time, you will be repeating one hour's worth of basal.

Since my basal is set lowest at bed time, that's when I change the clock on my pump...

Thanks for asking this question Charlotte. I, being a new pumper, was a little concerned too. My basal between midnight and 7am is set at 0.65 so hopefully, I won't have anything to worry about. I will need to change the time on my pump, right?

Yes. Unfortunately, the good ole' pumps don't do what our computers & cell phones do.....yet. ;)

FYI...you still have a week to go before time change.

Yes I know Kev. But I guess a lot of people had problems with their computer changing this weekend. Normally, daylight savings ends the last week in October. It changed this year.
I used to do graveyard shift in the ER. I hated these days. I had to work an hour longer and was beat by the end of my shift.

I hate it cause the 3rd shift people get a bonus where I work. In the spring they still get paid for 8.5 hours even though they only worked 7.5 and in the fall they get paid for an hour of overtime since they are there an hour longer.
I'll have to check all the clocks at work now to make sure I set them correctly for the new time change since I know nobody else will.

I will change my pump and meter back one hour before I go to bed Saturday night.
