I saw my doctor today and he gave me a sample of Starlix to try.

Does anyone have experience with this drug? Comments or suggestions?

He said that I was in good control. I said that I want to have numbers closer to that of a non-diabetic so he suggested Starlix.

Thanks,

Mark

Looks interesting. Keep us all updated on your results.

I read the Mendosa article just before I came back to the forum.

I'll let you know...

Sounds kinda like Byetta where it stimulates insulin production when needed, prevents spikes, and very small chance of hypos. They didn't mention side effects though.

According to the data that I saw side effects were rare.

I've got a crazy schedule at work this week so I may wait until this weekend to give it a try.

I was on this for some time (Generic name Nateglinide) and it worked quite well. Like all drugs it works very well for some and not so for others. Give it a try. I still have some left, if you PM me I can send them to you. (Switching to Insulin caused me to stop all oral medications)
