I've never heard the term gastric stasis.
Sounds like it to me. One means your stomach/intestines have no movement, one means the movement is impaired. Result would be the same. Isn't medicine fun?
I'm having good results with the erythromicin 250mg after a larger amount of food as needed. Gets things hustling right along, so far no side effects. Mich

There is a slight difference. Gastroparesis is a general slowing of the gut.
Gastral stasis is a ceasing of movement. i.e. Constipation and the related symptoms.
In either case a lot of fibre is indicated.

The hospital seems to think I may be suffering from gastric stasis and I will be having the gastric emptying test at the end of January.
Strange thing is I feel nauseous whether I have eaten or not. The Domperidone I was given helps greatly and takes away the nausea completely. But still my appitite has not returned.
Have any of you had simular symptoms and had effective treatment after a gastric emptying test?
"In either case a lot of fibre is indicated."
Indicated as too much fibre or not enough?

Try increasing the fibre in your diet and see if that helps. Try to stick to natural fibre such as veg, raw if you can, fruit etc.
Keep us posted on how you are doing.

If the problem is gastroparesis a high fiber diet is NOT recommended. Here's a link...Gastroparesis: Treatment - MayoClinic.com (http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/gastroparesis/DS00612/DSECTION=8)
