I think I'm going to have to drop my basal back down a bit....just as fall hits.....but I think I remember that I had to increase it last winter and then it decreased in the summer??
I don't remember.
I don't think my tweak will be major, I'm just having more hypos than I like and I'm shooting 20 units of basal total and I'm averaging around 6-10 units of humalog a day...maybe I'd be better off tweaking the carb ratios (I'm at 1:10 for breakfast, 1:9 for lunch and dinner.)

At any rate I'm assuming it's the changing seasons because nothing else has changed.

Is there an overall pattern for us all where this is concerned, or is it yet another individual thing?

I had to drop mine again a couple of weeks ago, though it's only been this past 10 months that I've really understood how to adjust it. For this reason I can't say whether it's seasonal or because my love handles are getting smaller...

What I do know is that as soon as you think you've got this thing perfect it turns around and shouts 'suprise!' just to keep you on your toes. How dull life would be if it just did as it was told.

Interesting to read that you guys are having differences possibly based on the seasons...I posted something about this under T2 recently...since the time change, my fasting blood sugars have been down 15-20 points. I've been surprised, as nothing different has changed. Don't remember this from last year's time change. I've not found anything "scientific" on this...but i'm definitely lower these days.
