I am fairly new to the pump (Oct. 30 2007). I was wondering if anyone has ever experienced malfunctioning with their pumps?

Please state what pump you have and explain the malfunction.

I have a minimed 522 par.

Thanks

I just started using a 522 last Friday (right now with saline solution for practice) and yesterday it was time to change the quick set. I tried to remember all the steps as instructed by the CDE and followed them carefully. During the priming stage "No Delivery" message came up. Kept trying again and again, same thing. Just for the heck of it I put the old reservoir back (there was still plenty of saline in it) and that worked. I called Minimed and was on hold for nearly 10 minutes. While waiting I decided to try with another new reservoir and infusion set and that worked. Being a new user I was so nervous, but was glad that it was not the real thing.
Minimed wants me to send the defective reservoir back to them.
I just hope that it does not happen with insulin; it would be a shame to waste.

I've been pumping with a MM-515 for almost 2 years (Dec) and this past February my pump died completely.

I kept hearing this strange noise but couldn't figure out what it was until I looked at my pump. The screen was completely blank and it was trying to remind me to check my BS, but it wasn't "beeping". I called Mini Med and followed the instructions they were giving me over the phone. Nothing!
I had to go back to shots for a day and a half until a replacement pump arrived.

I've also had many "no delivery" alarms, but always figured it out on my own without the help of Mini Med.

I had one malfunction with my old 508 and it was a static issue. I have a 715 now and no malfunctions with the pump, just me..... :T
