I KNOW I HAVNT BEEN HERE IN AWHILE BUT THINGS ARE GREAT..I WENT FROM THE ANIMAS PUMP TO THE OMNIPOD.NO TUBING ITS THE BEST MOVE I HAVE DONE.ITS SO GOOD TO FINALLY SLEEP WOTHOUT WORRYING ABOUT WHERE TO PUT MY PUMP AND TUBING.MY ENDO IS AWESOME..I WAS HAVING BAD FATIGUE WEIGHT GAIN VERY MOODY WELL IN 5 MINUTES FROM AN UNTRASOUND HE FOUND CYSTS ON ALL SIDES OF MY THYROID!! NOW ON SYNTHROID SEEMS MUCH BETTER.IN AZ VERY FEW ENDOS WORK WITH PUMP PATIENTS.NO IDEA WHY.BUT IM A HAPPY PODDER NOW.LOL.

Congrats to you, Babyblueyes! That's great news & I hope you find great success with the Pod! I think it's great that you don't have to worry about where to put your pump when you sleep anymore. :thumbsup:

Yes, I'm on MDI...and doing very well. Although I love the technology of the pump and all that the future offers, I don't see a huge benefit in wearing a pump. I say that with my lifestyle now...maybe back in school or during my work-a-holic years.

I love my pens (Humalog & Lantus) and have no problems with carrying them with me. The bolus deliver is basically the same as a pump...just using the pen.

I have good control with Lantus, but if I were to have problems with that, the flexible basal on a pump would be ideal. Right now, it's not that much of an issue.

If I were a man without a purse...I'd probably run to the nearest "Pump Dealer"!

I just hate having things clipped to me. And the tubing.

I love the Pod concept...not having the stuff hanging off the connection.
