Very interesting article indeed, no wonder I used to be out of control!
I tried to teach my teenage son that Arby's was not healthier for him when I looked up his typical meal and it was way over 2000 calories and the fat and sodium off the charts.
Thanks for the resource!

And to think, I thought a french fry was a french fry. I knew one could change a hamburger, but a french fry?

Wow. THe carbs are bad enough, but that fat and sodium make me sick. Who'da thought McDonalds would be the best of the worst.

Welcome to the forum.

It sounds extreme to me. You should target a loss of 1.5 lbs a week. Slow and steady is the way to go for most things with our bodies. Obviously you can't keep up your pace forever. There is a balance somewhere where you can achieve your weight objectives while feeling good.

You are a type 1?

And this is the reason Americans are obese. Most people eat these meals for just a meal. You are getting almost a full days calories in one meal and they do this 2 or 3 times a day.

The chart is well worth reading over for those who eat fast food on a regular basis. I must confess up front that I do partake of a Whopper perhaps once a week.

However, in fairness, we must recognize the sometimes significant variation in serving size when comparing constituent items.
