:) Hi. Hope to learn a lot and maybe share some experience, Had type 1 for over thirty years and only talk to a couple other diabetics on a regular basis. This sounds like a fun and satisfying thing to do-- especially for old people like me!

Welcome to Diabetes Forums, bluelake. You will find lots of knowledgeable people here and lots of "old folks". I was diagnoses 21 years ago with type 1 and I wasn't a kid!!

Hi BlueLake,

Welcome to the forum. It's a pretty good group of folks of all ages, opinions and types of diabetes. I think you'll enjoy the camaraderie.

Hello Bluelake . . .

Unbelievable how the "normal" looking age for people is 50! Everyone under 40 looks like a baby, ha! Does time ever fly . . .

During Thanksgiving, I was around another Type 1 very similar to myself. However, he was very uncomfortable about discussing diabetes at all. Sooooo . . thankfully this forum is here.

Welcome to DF Bluelake! I love hearing from people like yourself that have had D for many years! (I've only been diabetic for just over two years) Personal experience and little tidbits of helpful hints are great. :)
