Well I am very happy that I have controlled my T2 high glucose problem without insulin now. I am average about low 90's for my glucose readings before every meal. I am getting used to my low carb \ low calorie diet already which is great; I don't eat much anymore! I will now have to wait and see in the next doctors' visit to see what my blood test shows. Hopefully along the way I am fixing my cholesterol problem as well. Anyways, thanks all of you who have helped in posting any responses to any of the threads I have made. I know I am a bit annoying at times, but thanks for understanding :) .

Well just went to the doctor today and I lowered my A1c from 6.6 (with insulin) to 6.3 (without insulin). He did say my Cholesterol is still high, changed me from Welchol to Pravachol and also gave me so Lovaza for high Triglycerides. But all in all, I am doing great.

well done!
since i started low carbiing my triglycerides are FINALLY within range.
however, i do use two drugs. Crestor (rosuvastatin) and Lipidil (Fenofibrate).
at Christmas my GP and i did an experiment and stopped the fenofibrate for a month. result: my triglycerides went back up again. so i started on fenofibrate again.
it might be worth mentioning fenofibrate to your doctor and getting his opinion.
i am not prescribing. just telling you of what happened to me!

also, my bad cholesterol is really low and my good is finally above 1.0!

Good job! Your A1c didn't seem that high to begin with, but your improvements are great!

Yeah my A1c was 6.6 using Novomix 7030. My actual A1c before meds and the insulin trial was 9+, don't really remember. Now without insulin, just oral meds, its down to 6.3.
About my Triglycerides, they are at 379. My HDL Cholesterol is at 37 and LDL Cholesterol is at 185.
