I use Levemir as my long term/slow acting insulin, 12 units before bed per day.

Now, last I was out till 6 in the morning , injected my 12 units and went to sleep.

I should be going to bed in the enxt half an hour or so (6 hours earlier than yesterday ) , won't the 2 doses overlap and go too low??

Thanks :)

You should have taken the Levemir at the same time you always do.

You may have some overlapping of the doses, I have never taken Levemir, just Lantus . But I would may take less of the dose tonight and monitor very often. I would think a low would be a possibility.

My endo would ask me "what do you think?" ;) I'd say there's a chance but not extreme. You should be able to calculate what those 6 hours represent in terms of units then eat enough to cover it. Add some protein and fat in the mix to extend it some.
