Well I had another appointment with my endocrinologist. Things are looking pretty good. My BP was 106/62. My cholesterol was within a good range. (Don't remember what the numbers were but the doc said good to go) Nothing out of the ordinary. My HbA1c was 6.7%. I look at some of your guys' A1c's and see a lot in the 5's. I have been working hard lately to get my basal rates on my pump right, but not eating to teast them is hard for me to do. But with a little more hard work, I think I can get my A1c under six by my next Dr. visit. That is my goal anyway.

You guys on the forum have already helped a lot. Your suggestions and motivation have already helped so much. Thanks for the advise and keep it coming!!!:)

PS Merry Christmas and have a safe and happy new year!

Sounds that you have a good report. I too have a endo's appointment next month or next year LOL but I seem to have my diabetes to a good constant level. Anyway I have to look at my Blood Pressure too and looking at getting a BP meter and look at some form of exercise and look at getting the BP down and eat less and high quality food/ :D

I went for almost 30 years never with an A1C under 8. Last spring during my follow-up transplant (kidney) visit to Mayo they hooked me up with a diabetic nurse who has had type 1 forever and she really explained what I was doing wrong etc. Adjusted my Lantus and we talked diet for a long time. In August I had a 5.7 and almost died of shock. What a difference! I feel like I haven't felt so far this century anyway-- lots of energy-- depression a lot better. It's a pain while your wrestling it to the ground but once you have it pinned you will feel a ton better! Keep up the great progress.
