What to do with bio-hazard red container?

I don't know what forum to post this in, but I hope it can be moved if this is the wrong forum. A month ago I had to go on insulin and I shoot a 4 or more shots a day. I bought this red bio-hazard container to put the empty done shots in, but now its full. My question is what in the world do I do with the red container that has 50 or more shots that are used with? Its full and I don't know how to dispose of it.

Ask your doctor's office if they will take it.

Look up to see if your garbage service will take it. Mine does. You just have to duct tape it closed...in fact, it doesn't have to be a bio-hazard container, it can just be an empty liquid laundry detergent container, with duct tape around it and marked "Insulin Syringes".

Also, most fire stations, local hospitals, some pharmacies, and doctor's offices will take them for you.

I put mine out with the trash. They only require that I set it on top of the garbage can, so they see it.

Call your local hospital. Many take them to dispose off properly as community service.

call your trash pick up folks and your pharmacy. i use a laundry detergent bottle. when it's full,i'm supposed to double bag it and put it in the tras. no bio hazard label to keep the junkies out of it......

In Canada, perhaps not all parts because places like Manitoba are weird, but here the pharmacies take them. Return a full one and they give you an empty for free.
