A few days ago I had a colonoscopy. I will spare you the details, but I should have done it a long time ago. I was more uptight about how I was going to avoid low blood sugars (I wear a pump) then the procedure itself. For those of you that are thinking about doing a virtual colonoscopy, I checked into that, and if it is done the same way as they do it where I live, I do not recommend it. The reason is: you have to do the same preparation before the virtual procedure, which is worse then the procedure itself. In addition, if they find a problem, when doing the virtual, you have to do the regular colonoscopy. The results came back and everything was alright. Now its your turn!

I have one every 2 years.

Ok now that just made me laugh out loud. Good laugh for the day MJB. I am glad I am not a farmer.

Glad I could make you laugh Nancy. :D

On a serious side, anyone over 50 should have this procedure done, even younger folks if you have any family history of colon cancer.

It's really a simple, painless procedure that could save your life.

Did you get a copy of the video? Great to break out when those visitors that won't leave overstay their welcome.

I actually volunteered to do this at 45. Well, my grandmother and all her sisters have/had colon cancer.

I chose the virtual route, only because the doctor & I didn't expect anything to be wrong. Virtual would not be a good idea if you had any inkling of problems, because just like already mentioned . . . if anything is found that needs attention, you then have to do the regular colonoscopy.

No, I didn't get a copy. Maybe if you have an extra you can send it to me. No one will know that it belongs to you. :D
