What is the best tasting dark chocolate. I'm a chocolate addict and don't like dark chocolate so much. To get my fill I'm thinking if I find a good tasting dark chocolate, I'll eat a lot less and fill my craving.

Well, I love chocolate. The best I've found is bars of Guylian No Sugar Added Belgian Chocolate. I frequently let a square melt in my mouth in the evening (or 3 or 4). I like the Dark Orange. 8 squares=120 calories and 14 carbs. The taste is really quite good (unlike most sugar free chocolates). Once in a while I will go to my local See's store and buy 2 pieces of dark chocolate (I especially like the raspberry creame), chew and then spit out :o . Sound gross but the taste is the thing.

Hello. Welcome to DF!
I guess you're interested in dark chocolate because of it's reported health benefits. These benefits come from flavanols which are antioxidants. Flavanols are bitter - period. If you don't like some dark chocolates it's likely because it is bitter. Some manufacturers remove the flavanols because some people don't like the bitter taste. If you find a dark chocolate that you like - it probably has all the good stuff removed, so it's not "healthy" anymore, but it's still dark chocolate.
Bummer huh?

I'm a dark chocolate fan....not for health benefits, but I LOVE the taste. My favorites are the Lindt Dark Chocolate truffles and Dove Dark Chocolate. I keep a bag of Dove Dark in the freezer, and when the chocolate craving hits, i'll have 2-3, allowing them to slowly melt in my mouth...a little goes a long way. However, as with most things, moderation is key...this shouldn't be a daily treat.

I like the Whole Bean Chocolate squares from Hershey. 4 squares have 7 grams of fiber and 13 net carbs. It makes me feel like I'm having a whole chocolate bar without as much of the guilt.

I hate dark chocolate, but for baking I use the Lindt 70% cocoa bars.
I do the same thing that Linda does, only with the milk chocolate. That may work for you with their dark chocolate version.
