hi im aussie and i wanted to know if there is anyway i can tell my employer tyhat my diabetes will not affect my ability to get employmnet as i have a borderline case and even tho the doctor has written him a note saying that i am ok to work my employer does not believe my doctor.
the law states as far i can understand that they can refuse for me to work .

What is your job and how long have you worked there? How long have you had diabetes?

Welcome Boyboy, This is clearly grounds for discrimination plus, As you are about to be diagosed diabetic.
Whare are you in oz? as I am in the Morington Peninsula Hastings as that is south of Melbourne. :D

i work for active foundation and ive only just been diagnosed
so any advice as ive rung the anti discrimanttion board and they said that they can discriminate against me.

how can they?? Just because that you are a diabetic, No chance!!! Diabetics can be fit and healthy people. I would love to know the reason to your rejection. :mad:

We don't need to know where but some more details would be helpful. For example what is your job description. What has your job said to you with your recent diagnosis? What problems do you have going on there?
