Who was it here that is a personal trainer? Being after the holidays I know I need to get back into my routine. Looking for advice on toning up (again) and weight lifting on insulin. I need to actually gain alot of muscle back!

I'm no personal trainer but I do hit the gym 2 or 3 times a week... What kind of advice are you looking for? What did your routine look like in the past?

I run or hike 20-30min three times a week. I lift weights 3-5 times a week focusing on different muscle groups. I focus on resistance training and weights more so than aerobics because I need to build muscle, which is hard for me, except in my arms which is weird. I just can't seem to gain muscle in my bird legs. I take the healthy lower carb approach, protein skakes in the AM right after working out. I will tone up easily (been off my routine for 6 months) but I can never gain muscle!
