Hello~I'm new to this forum, but not to diabetes. I am a type 2 diabetic on an insulin pump. In the last six months I've started taking 1500 mg of Glumetza. I'm interested in any and all info on solutions others have found for Dawn Phenomenon. I'm also doing the peri-menopause thing that throws a monkey wrench into the equation. Someone posted that they started taking their Glumetza at bedtime and that helped tremendously with DP, I've been experimenting with my meds, but haven't found the magic combination yet.
Take Care~

Welcome to the forums. I'm a male, and I do not take insulin, so I can't answer any of your specific questions, however there is lots of useful information, and of course, friendly people here. So stay tuned. :)

Find out what time your DP kicks in and adjust your basal approx 1.5 hours before that point to compensate for the DP. It takes awhile to get just right, but the pump is the ideal way to compensate for it.
