Can anyone suggest a brand of hand wipes that is good to use. I want something that is prepackaged that I can carry in my pocket for using before I test my Blood sugar level. I have tried Wet Ones and they leave a small res ado/soap behind after using them. I would also not like any smell on them. There has to be something out there. Thanks for any suggestions.

Unless you are in a situation where you know your hands are dirty or have food on them, it's not necessary to use anything first. I think I've used 3 handwipes in 10 years.

Buying a small spray bottle of hand sanitizer may be easier to carry and use.

Soap and water is the most you need. Most times you really don't even need that.

At school I will need prepackaged wipes. I have the wet ones now but they have the aloe stuff on them. Thanks for the suggestions

Funny to see this thread ~ I was leaving the Superstore after grocery shopping today and I wanted to check my blood, but knew that my hands weren't freshly washed. I used some cherry scented hand sanitizer that I keep in the glove box of the Jeep, but then I wondered if the "scent" would skew the results of the blood test. ??? - Hmmmmmm........

Alcohol wipes come in tiny, easy to carry packets. Just make sure the alcohol dries completely before testing. Some have had dry skin problems using them, but I don't...

I also suggest the alcohol wipes if you can't actually wash your hands first.
Another thing that could work is to put some baby wipes into a zip lock sandwich bag? I go through those things like crazy at horse shows. The stuff we put on the horses' faces (baby oil gel) is so greasy and there is not time to wash hands between classes. Usually, my husband applies the horse facial stuff but I still get it on my hands adjusting halters. Those baby wipes are really good!

I generally use soap and water. The only problem I have had is when I prepared made fajita's for dinner, I got a sky high reading because even after a wash my hands were still contaminated. Now I test before cooking, if I forget then I'll wash very thoroughly, use an alcohol wipe, wash again and one more wipe.

I carry a trial-sized bottle of the "antibacterial waterless hand sanitizer. I also keep alcohol wipes in my monitor case.

kleenex pocket hand wipes, alcohol free are the best to use with your monitor.. they are the least likely to mess with any readings you get aswell.

Alcohol won't mess up your readings as long as you let it dry first. Alcohol dries very quickly. If you shake your hand to drive the blood to your fingertips, the alcohol will probably be evaporated before you are finished...
