Yesterday while in church (yes, I do ACTUALLY go!), the vision in my right eye suddenly blurred. After a few seconds, it became clear. Within minutes it blurred a second time and after a few seconds became clear. Within minutes, it blurred a third time and stayed that way for about an hour. Although the vision again cleared, in low light, it still looked blurred. Does anyone have any ideas of the possible causes?

Lowell,
I was having something similar to what you describe and I consulted with the eye doctor. Seems I have dry eyes. It's easily treatable with over the counter eye drops that moisturize the eye.
At any rate, you might want to consult your opthamologist to rule out such eye issues as retinopathy.

Did you test? You could have been low and not realized it.
Coming and going is not consistent with retinal damage.

Blood sugar was fine. I've got retinoschisis, or "splitting of the retina", though so I was a bit concerned. I was wondering if it might indicate bleeding or something.

My eyes did the same thing and I was in denial and ignored it. I had been getting checked by an optometrist. I went to an opthamologist and found that they had missed retinal bleeding. I have had steroid injections and laser surgery and am holding my own now but my vision will never be what it was. Go and get it checked out!
