Hi Dave! I'm at about 42 years...very close to your history. I love my pens...so much I have not desire for a pump! I'm doing very well with Lantus/Humalog pens. Very convenient!

Good to hear, Alice
I think NovoRapid is the same as Humalog. That's what I'm on and Lantus.

27 "Dave", 22 "David" - but that doesn't include the ones that don't have "Dave" or "David" as part of the user name. I'll leave that as an exercise for the reader :D

I guess my control was ok until about 1 year ago when I started to increase my insulin experimentally. The last 12 months I began showing signs of over insulin doses, and so the hospital thought I'd be better off on the Pens.

They never associated the control issues with the experimentation? Typical. I'm surprised they didn't recommend prepping with Johnson's baby powder first ;) Most of us distrust our medical staff. My current moron wants me to only test three times a day. Grrrrr.

Cool - another Dave.
Welcome to club DF.
Most Canadians would know about a lil show called Kids in the Hall. Talking about all these Daves reminded me of a skit they did called

Well, as my appointmets were 12months apart I had plenty of time to mess things up by myself.
I'm not doing too bad on these pens now. I've received a lot of help from people on diabetic forums which I'm very grateful for.
Don't get me started on my current GP please. I go to see him tomorrow regarding my repeat prescription that in 7 years they've only manged to get right once.
