Novopen 4

Does anyone use this pen in the UK?

If so did you get it on from the NHS?

its looks alot better than the novopen 3, and in the reviews it says you should get new pens every 5 years or so because they inject the amount you dial less reliably after so much usage. i've had mine 4 years now and they seem fine, but they are getting tatty and my red & yellow (childs one *sigh*) is getting all scrathced... but it still seems to work fine.

Laura:

Hey - I also had a red and yellow Novopen 3! Have you thought about using a Novopen Junior. I switched to it from the Novopen 3 and the big advantage is that it does 1/2 Unit steps, which I found helpful for bolus. You can even do a 1/2 unit correction. It also comes in a nifty colourway with flowers on it.

I now use Apidra, but I do miss the 1/2 unit steps and Rolls-Royce quality of the Novopens.

Did you hear of anyone in the Uk having Novopen 4? It looks much better. I use the np3 classic for novorapid and I have a fun pen for my levimir. No problems with either of them apart from the fact they look a bit dated and I have had them for ages!!
