Glumetza

Anyone using this?
Is it very different from Glucophage/Metformin?
I wonder if the control is better?
I'm reading some reports of BETTER glucose control, and others that say it's basically the same as metformin.

I started Glumetza about 6 months ago.

I wasn't able to tolerate a 1,500mg dose of metformin or metformin XR or fortamet, but I seem to do just fine on 1,500 of glumetza.

My A1C ticked down ever so slightly on the glumetza (.2) probably not enough of a difference to give it any credence (went from a 5.6 to a 5.4) one way or the other.

I have been on it for about 4 months and although it is easier to tolerate I think it does noting at all and may even increase my numbers.

Just my opinion remember everyone is different.
