Hi, Been reading and lurking here for a few days and decided to join. Great forum. Lots of information here. Glad I found it. I'm LADA, on glymepride, Levemir and just started Novolog at dinner. For those of you on multiple daily injections, when you eat out, do you go to the restroom for your insulin, inject discreetly at the table? Still trying to get it all figured out. :)

Hello and welcome,
I inject discreetly at the table. Nobody notices and it works well.
Post often.

Welcome BarC, Yes there is a lot of information here and good people too who have this stupid disease and I can say it's stupid because you continuously testing in your day and act if need be. :( Plus there is the food Nazi's too who tell you "are you able to have that" as one of my pet hates.
And there are those people who have complications because of this too. :)

Welcome.
I've done it in more places ... the trickest one was at a stop light as I was driving.

Same here . . . I try to be discreet & fast. But if someone sees me, I don't care! It's really cool with a pump - no worries there. Personally, I loved the pump, but had so many bruises that I went back to MDI. The pump was such a huge and constant reminder of D that I couldn't get 100% comfortable with it. The longer I'm around these forum pumpers, the higher the likelihood I'll go that direction again.
Glad you joined!

Welcome BarC! Glad you found the forums. I am on Byetta, which I inject twice daily, b/fast and dinner. If i'm at a restaurant, I just inject at the table. I've done it so many times, I'm quite quick at it.

Hi & Welcome! We're glad you decided to join us, rather than "lurk". LOL
Before pumping, I used insulin pens. I always injected discreetly at the table. I refused to go into a germ-filled restroom to give myself a shot!

Welcome to the forums. Sorry it's been a few days since I have been able to get online, or I'd have said hello sooner. :)
Regards,
Darian
