Welcome,
This is a great place to be. DF has become an addictive thing for me . . . at least it's HEALTHY! It sounds like you are doing well; keep up the good work.

Hello and welcome.
Do you know what caused a high in your cholesterol? Are you countering it safely?
Heather.

Do you know what caused a high in your cholesterol?
sure- 40 years of eating and drinking and partaking of what I should not have
not trying to be funny - I just did not do much for health - always was very fortunate to be athletic, strong, never hardly ill
which is so far the most difficult thing with all of this -
no problem doing what I am supposed to - no choice -
but at 55 the diabetes has proved I am not ten foot tall and bullet proof

Well good. I have also had to thank D for some things. I am only tiny but it has made me look at my lifestyle a bit.
You can still enjoy life and have diabetes. Trust me. It may be a restriction but it is not a complete stop to your life.
Eat in a healthy way, have the odd treat. Go about your life with energy.
Heather.

Hi IBEW! Welcome to the forum. Glad you found us. Congratulations on your accomplishments so far. I guess it takes something like D to get us thinking about taking care of ourselves. Are you taking meds, exercising, and testing regularly?
