hey guys, i've been looking for a site like this for a while, and am glad that i found it :) anyway my name is Tanner, i'm 16 years old, and live in manchester, kentucky. i was diagnosed with type 1 on october 23rd, 2003. was i ever shocked:eek: my parents go to a doctor for different reasons who also happens to be an endocrinologist, (sp? :$) and she was nice enough to let me come in the day of my diagnosis, and i was on humalog and lantus at supper that night. i have sinced moved to a different doctor or doctors if you will at the cincinnatti children's hospital in cincinnatti, ohio. with their help, my latest A1C was 6.5, after being around 12 when i was first diagnosed. i hope to have it even lower the next time i go in three months. :D

Boy, didn't they send you to the hospital after being diagnosed? I spent almost 2 weeks there after mine was discovered (back around 1492, I think).
