New Guy on the Forums old BBSer

Hello all,

I am new to Diabetesforums and I am glad to have found it. Looks like a lot of good discussion and a cool group of people. I have had Diabetes for about 32 years and I am a type 1 pump user. I used to run a BBS back in the day that was connected to Fidonet. I had a diabetes discussion group on the BBS. The bbs was called Money Matter$. Hope to find some of the folks I used to see on that Diabetes Forum years ago.

I'm a BBSer from way back. My dh used to run a BBS. I lived on BBSes, San Jose/Fremont, CA, run ones mostly. Had a lot of fun back then, especially playing the cheesy games like Lands... :)

Gawd, I think I posted a couple of messages on fidonet once upon a time ago. I wasn't big into BBS newsgroups though. It was cool at the time. I was just getting the hang of tradewars when netscape took over.

Hey I am a type 1 too and welcome to this site. :D

WOW Now this brings me back some memories as I was a user of the black screen and the Unix commands and hop from router to router. :D
Hope to find some of the folks I used to see on that Diabetes Forum years ago.

Welcome - glad you found this SLIGHTLY easier way to trade info!

Last time I used a bbs was before my dx! Was on a modem and was happy when I could log in at 9600 baud. I remember fidonet but cannot remember the bbs I used. Some techie thing.
