Hi, What test tells the doctor how much the pancreas working?

THe only one I know of is the C-Peptite which can be taken via blood. It measures how much insulin you are secreting. There may be other that I'm not aware of but maybe some of the more experienced know about :-)

Also there may be a way to count or see the beta cell mass.
I had a C-peptide test, it was 3.6, which is normal, or non-diabeteic range. I guess I still have plenty of insuline producing beta cells, I'm with the same meds as 1.5 years ago, but cannot be without the meds.
So, just the C-peptide test won't tell the whole story.

C-peptide. My result was essentially 0.
