Hi there,

I am a newby. Though I live in Poland I am Dutch of birth.

I have an unclear case of diabetes, it is either steroid induced or late onset dm type 1. Anyone familiar with how that should be diagnosed? I have been receiving treatment in The Netherlands for a few years that consisted of metformine and amaryl tablets. However, during my first visit to the Polish specialist, I was put on insulin right away. I have a question about that that I will post in another section of this forum.

My levels are not that scary, they even tend to be on the low side in the morning. Pre breakfast today was 75.

Look forward to hearing from you all,

Rick

Welcome aboard. I'd love to have a morning BGL that low.

Thanks for the kind words.
The most recent HbA1C result that I have dates from early November, it was 7.0 then.

Welcome.

We had another new member from Poland just a week or 2 ago. Big country but another member with your native tongue might be fun and helpful.

A 7.0 A1c is good but the goal is 6 or less in most cases so something is going on there! Your 75 in the am is great - normal to low in fact - but is it consistent? Do you test everyday? Got to be high sometime to get the 7.0. Let us know about your testing schedule and anything else you'd care to share
