Hi everyone. I'm anxious to finally be able to talk
to other diabetics and get some very needed advice
and hopefully be able to give some also.

Right now my big decision is to get off the MM
Paradigm and switch to the Animas 2020. I never
had a problem with MM - their service is great, but
I am not going to use the cgm because it's too expensive and insurance won't pay for the sensors, etc. I've been on the MM for 10 years now and maybe I just need a change. Does anyone have anything they can tell me to help me decide?
Thanks

I can't help with the question, but welcome to the forums just the same!

Good luck with your pump decision. Ask sales reps to try all the brands for which you are interested. Welcome aboard :wavey:

Welcome to the forum.

Love my mm715 - trying to get a 722 for the cgms just as soon as I can get the stuff covered.

I don't know anything about other pumps. Sure if anyone 'round here does they'll chime in. Good luck,
Mike

Welcome Barbara! I know a few people with young diabetic children who use the Animas because of its being able to be programmed to delive very small amounts of insulin, like 0.025 units. Of course adults can use the Animas too. I have several friends who love the Cozmo pump. It has several nice features that the Minimed dos not have. I have been using the MM 522 since 6/19/07. I like the MM very much but I might try the Cozmo inanother 4 years when my insurance company allows me to get a new pump. Good luck to you!

The Animas seems to have so many options. I'm also looking at the Cozmo. I'm going to try to
get these insulin pumps to use with Saline and then make up my mind.

The negative thing I've heard about the Animas is that when you try to key in the bolus amount, the numbers scroll so quickly, it's hard to get it without playing with it.

Hopefully I'll be able to make up my mind before
the cure comes in!
