Hi I'm new to the forum .Would like to say hi to everyone and look forward to learning anything I can. I have just started on Levemir,I was on Byetta but after a while it just did not do the job. :) I also have Non Hodgkins Lymphoma and although it has been in remission for 3 years I think it is coming back and thats whats causing my sugar to rise...

A bit more about me. I was diagnosed 13 years ago as a type 2. Not given anymore than a pamplet and a push out the door. Over the years with various doctors I have tested my BG's speratically . About two year ago was my highest a1c ever and I was ordered to test again while using glucopge this time with a medicaid Trutrack which reported my numbers in the 500's yet if I used a different monitor I was upper 100's off the same prick. So I quit testing all together cause the ins wouldnt cover anything but their strips and supplies...... Anyhow So here I am again a1c looks great , blood glucose 107.. not terribly bad, and c-peptide im still learing more about that but it was OUT ragiously high. Best i can tell from all of my reading and research I have insulin resistance, more or less a confirmed type 2 I guess but will know even more today :D

Oh I am also the mother of 4 extremely upbeat children 2 boys 2 girls who definatly keep me on my toes. My 3 yr old son as a matter of fact stuck a cube of butter in the toaster yesterday before dinner :) He helps make sure that chiolesterol stays in the good :D
